Artificial intelligence refers to duplicating human intelligence into machines and are made to think and act like humans. The term can also be used to associate with anything that shows human traits such as the ability to learn and solve a problem. It replicates human behaviour and abilities. What it does is sense, reason, and communicate. It can be called a technological revolution. In the future, maybe in about 50 years, I don't think it wouldn't take that long but humans are going to be unemployed very soon. We will see how and why?

This thing is artificial and has intelligence. It's going to make our job easier and maybe difficult jobless. Engineers are working on AI that can talk, walk and behave like humans. There are ‘general AI’ and ‘narrow AI’. The general AI includes machines that perform equally good if not greater than humans. They are made in such a way that they can perform a variety of tasks but minor progress has been made in this domain.
Narrow AI on the other hand are machines that perform only a specific task with strict parameters. “ Think of image recognition, information retrieval, language translation, reasoning based on logic or evidence, and planning and navigation.
Apple’s Siri and Google now make use of these three bits of intelligence. How they do it is: recognize the speech to capture what they are saying (sensing), then process and pull out an answer ( reasoning), deploy natural language, and convey the answer ( communicating). When it comes to physical machines, they are imbued with a fourth category that is movement.
People have been working on it for a very long time. Experts say that a rough general artificial intelligence will be created by 2030. They also say that AI is going to develop in half a century and in about 80 years, they will be running the show.
All changes are not good, some can have negative effects. This change of bringing in Artificial intelligence or robotics can be quite challenging. Humans will have to lose their jobs to machines that can work in the same way as us. When considering the reports by PwC, there are chances that by 2037, 7 million jobs will be replaced by AI in the UK. At the same time, it can create job opportunities in the field of AI. This is not certain and can be a challenge to the livelihood of a larger section.
AI has a rule that rules it, it is to think simple. From the font to everything they use is simple but Artificial intelligence is not simple in any way.
Like I have mentioned earlier, Google and Apple have already started their journey. They have imbued AI in their products. However, there are many other fields and areas where AI is currently employed or in use.
In a few years, AI is going to change or take over the world for better or worse maybe? We don't know but there are certain assumptions and predictions regarding this. Places where humans are employed for picking, packing and dropping, will all be done by them. There will be a time when you won't need doctors or engineers but replaced by AI that is efficient and capable enough to do their work. This is a good chance, we all can be happy that we are technologically advancing but what are we going to do for a living? We need to think.
There is not just AI but other innovations are coming up such as Augmented Reality ( AR) and Virtual Reality ( VR). These are in close alignment as they work to their advantage when incorporated with AI.
AR in simple terms is the snap chat and Instagram filters you see where there are 3D images, other figures and noises arise. That is the real world is mixed with the virtual world, a superimposing of the digital world. VR on the other hand as the name suggests you are taken into a virtual world and you are made to believe that you belong there, it makes you feel like you are part of something. This technology is integrated in such a way that you can see, hear, touch and smell. It requires a head-mounted device which you need to put on to experience the virtual world and it's a 360° video.
As I have mentioned earlier, these innovations are revolutionary as they give the best results when they work together. AR and VR require the support of AI for their functioning. Therefore they are powered by AI, assisting them in their functioning.
The time has come when technology is going to take over our life literally and figuratively. In the coming years, we will know if this is going to be a boon or a bane. " AI is likely to be either the best or worst thing to happen to humanity".
